SOLLEMNE 2021 | The concert that defied the odds!

We did it! We accomplished what we dreamt about, we managed to deliver a magnificent concert with just four weeks in the studio to prepare!
And what a concert it was, thanks to all the hard work and perseverance from our beautiful students and the JOKSOD community. We thought it would be a scaled down version, but it really wasn’t and we are so unbelievably proud of everyone.

After such a crazy year and so many challenges we are delighted to finally be able to screen the JOKSOD movie of our 2020 concert next week.
We were determined that the COVID-19 pandemic was not going to stop us from a performance experience last year. We’re so lucky at JOKSOD to be able to call on a range of phenomenal guest teachers to work with our students during school holidays. And these Spring holidays were no exception as we didn’t let COVID get in our way!
We love welcoming guest teachers, some of whom are JOKSOD alumni who have gone on to have wonderful careers in the dance industry and are excited to return and share their knowledge and experience with our current community.

There’s no doubt that 2021 is not the year we expected, we thought we were over the worst of COVID shutdowns impacting our dancing life! However, despite the struggles we’ve experienced in Victoria with the latest long lockdown, we continue to be amazed by the resilience and strength of our beautiful JOKSOD students.
