Congratulations to our Cecchetti Scholars 2022

Cecchetti Ballet Victoria provides a Scholars program for students that are excelling at their craft which involves monthly subsidised tuition at Cecchetti headquarters for those who are lucky enough to be chosen.

Dance schools across the state send a selection of students and only 14 are chosen from each age group, Junior and Senior. It is a special honour to be selected to be a Cecchetti Scholar and we have had many students attend this program throughout the years.

We are delighted to introduce you to the JOKSOD Cecchetti Scholars for 2022:

JUNIOR SCHOLARS:

Ava Del Rosario: This is Ava's first time auditioning to be a Cecchetti Scholar and she is working towards her Grade 5 Cecchetti examination after receiving 100% for her Grade 4. 

“I am so excited to attend the scholars program for 2022.  I am looking forward to meeting both the teachers and the students and being a part of this amazing program.”

Charlotta Apps: Charlotta is working towards her Grade 6 Cecchetti exam this year. 

"I feel so excited to have been chosen as a scholar for 2022. I’m looking forward to learning with other dancers my age and being taught by some amazing teachers."

Lucie Doody: Lucie has been a Cecchetti Scholar previously and is working towards her Intermediate Cecchetti exam this year.

"I am so excited to be chosen as a Scholar for a fourth year. It is amazing to be taught by a different Artist for each class and I can’t wait to learn from them  and grow as a dancer alongside the other Scholars"

Iyla Emmanuelle: Iyla is working towards her Grade 6 Cecchetti exam

"I am thrilled to be a part of the Cecchetti scholars and so excited to have this experience and improve my ballet technique."

SENIOR SCHOLARS

Ashlea Rush: Ash has previously been a Cecchetti Scholar and is working towards her Advanced 1 exam

Sam McSweeney: Sam has been a Cecchetti Scholar in previous years and is working towards his Intermediate exam. 

"I’m looking forward to the opportunities being a scholar brings - dancing with other passionate dancers and being taught by some of the best dancers and teachers in Australia. I'm also excited to participate in the scholars program for a full year without lockdowns."

Gerika Abbott: This is Gerika's first time joining the Senior Scholars program and is working towards her Intermediate Cecchetti exam.
