At Joanne O'Kelly School of Dance (JOKSOD), we believe that dance is a lifelong journey, open to all ages and experience levels. Our Adult Dance Classes are thoughtfully designed to offer a welcoming environment where individuals can explore movement, enhance flexibility, build strength, and boost confidence. Class Offerings:
Classical Ballet
Schedule: Tuesdays, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Experience the elegance of ballet, focusing on posture, balance, and coordination. Our classes cater to all levels, emphasizing foundational techniques through barre exercises, center work, and across-the-floor combinations. Ballet not only enhances grace but also improves posture and core strength.Jazz Dance
Schedule: Mondays, 7:45 PM – 8:45 PM
Dive into the energetic world of jazz, blending rhythm, improvisation, and expressive movements. These sessions include dynamic warm-ups, stretching, and choreography influenced by contemporary jazz and musical theatre styles. Jazz dance is an excellent way to stay fit while embracing creativity.Mat Pilates
Schedule: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Focus on core strengthening with controlled movements that enhance posture, flexibility, and overall muscle tone. Our Pilates classes are suitable for all, promoting mindfulness and body awareness through low-impact exercises.
